There is nothing more exhilarating and frightening than to find yourself leaving High School and going off to build a life for your own. The greatest challenges that you will face are not college or building the perfect career. These will be difficult enough. But the most important hurdle you will jump will be allowing Christ to be Lord of your life through college and career. Considering our place as a believer in Christ and His involvement in our direction will keep things focused. Notice Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”As a Christian you are saved from your sin and given a home in Heaven once you leave this world. But in the mean time remember two very important things. Mainly, it is vital to understand that you have an enemy. This evil being wants nothing more for your life than to destroy its potential and testimony. The Lord Jesus warned Peter that Satan desired to “sift” him as wheat. Through temptation and deception, countless young adult have found their hope for joy and blessing turned into sadness and regret. Your enemy is cunning and even the most deligent among us has a heart with a potential of being led astray.

Yet, the most important truth to remember and live by is that you have a Saviour who loves you and desires to bless you. The choice is yours. But sometimes, especially if you have not yet decided to do the right thing, situations will call unto you strongly to sin and the draw is exceedingly intense.

Who are you? Who do you want to be? How do you want others to see you? How do you want God to think of you? These can all be answered when you first decide that your life is worth far more than to be squandered in sin. But rather build your life upon God and His Word! The outcome wil be that Christ is Lord of your life and the generous giver of amazing blessings!
